Recorder making is an artistic craft, and above all, a rare one!
Only a dozen craftspeople in France, about thirty across Europe, and sixty worldwide. No formal training, no school. So it’s all about encounters, experimentation, and iteration.
Since I started in 2015, I’ve crafted nearly 150 recorders, and no less than 1000 other instruments have passed through my workshop for a beauty treatment… each case unique, each an opportunity to discover, learn, and deepen my expertise.
But there’s no craftsmanship without musical practice: being a recorder player myself gives me an intimate knowledge of the instruments, allowing me to better understand and respond to the needs and requests of the musicians who commission me and entrust their instruments to my care.
